Red Bank Rowers Thrive at Main Line Slides at Villanova University

A good number of area youth from the Navesink Indoor Rowing Program
(http://tworiverrowing.wordpress.com/about/) participated in today's Main Line
Slides at Villanova University.

From what I understand, nearly every rower (male and female) set personal
best records which is credit to Coach John Crilly, Conor Malone and Shauna O'Donnell.

However to stay true to form, I must focus on the three Red Bank rowers
(all at Red Bank Regional High School) who each had fantastic results today.

(from left to right - Josue Madriz Picado, Salvador Tecalero and Eric Sibrian)

All three (3) of them smashed their personal best records in the 2K row (2 thousand meters).
Salvador broke the magical 7 minute barrier with a 6:59.06 time; Eric broke his own record
by an incredible 11 seconds; and Josue, in the last race of the day (Men's Coxswain, 130 lbs)
cruised to a huge 25 meter win (picture next week of all).

It was extremely exciting to watch all but no doubt seeing Josue beat last years champion
by 6 seconds and 25 meters was an incredible display of determination and focus (along
with athletic prowess and conditioning).

My name is David Prown and I am the 3rd generation owner of Prown's Home Improvements here in Red Bank. I have been working in the family business since 1989. I am a 4th generation Red Bank resident (and my kids are 5th Generation). I was raised in the spirit of community service, involvement, and commitment. I spend a couple hours every day volunteering with a specific emphasis on the underdog youth of Red Bank. It is my passion, my calling, and my gift to Red Bank. I can't get enough of giving back and not giving up. This blog allows me share with fellow Red Bank enthusiasts my passion for this town.
